Stephen R. Connors
The Stephen R. Connors Visionary Award is awarded to an individual who exhibits “Leadership in helping make changes in the environmental sector that positively impact the world.”
Established in 2017, the award is named for AltWheels co-founder
Stephen R. Connors who passed away in 2016.
Steve Russell has been an integral part of the AltWheels team since its inception and serves as co-chairman of the event.
Russell was also inducted into the Clean Cities Hall of Fame and presented with an award from the US Department of Energy and Clean Cities for his 10 years of service.
Cathy Morrissey, a large fleet sustainability strategist at Ford Motor Company for 37 years before she retired, was honored with the second annual Stephen R. Connors Visionary Award.
Morrissey was a member of the AltWheels Advisory Committee before her ultimate passing.
In 2017, the first award was presented to Stephen's wife Alison Sander, who is also a co-founder of AltWheels.
Sander serves as head for The Boston Consulting Group's Center for Sensing and Mining the Future which tracks more than 100 Megatrends that are reshaping the global strategic map.
